Zoey & Koby Wexler / Owners of Two Fat Cookies, Two Fat BrEGGfast, & Death by Pizza
Zoey Wexler was born into the hospitality industry. With a family of chefs & artists, the culmination of those talents & exposure influenced the career path that she has taken.
She was born in New Jersey & grew up in Boca Raton, Florida. At a very young age her father, James Wexler, instilled in her that if you have an opportunity to work, you work. From washing dishes at 14, to working front & back of house positions in restaurants & catering companies, having great work ethic has been a top priority.
Zoey always loved to bake & draw and express her artistic vision, but also had a strong affinity for learning, especially math. Hoping to one day own a business, she pursued a Business degree from Florida State University.
She was really able to hone her skills when she became the Executive Pastry Chef at a gourmet market in downtown Saratoga Springs, New York. This is where her love for cake decorating began. After several years Zoey decided to move home to partner with her mother, Debbie Wexler in 2012 in their Bake Shop, Two Fat Cookies, currently located in downtown Delray Beach, Florida. At the time, the Bake Shop concentrated in wholesale, primarily working with restaurants, catering companies & country clubs. Zoey's vision was to create a retail space and expand into custom cake design. Now the Bake Shop houses their walk-up breakfast concept Two Fat BrEGGfast, operated by her brother & chef, Koby Wexler. The two have also created a Detroit Style Pizza concept born out of the pandemic, which will be moving in to it's very own Brick & Mortar this October. The brother-sister duo have plans to create & grow other food concepts in the future to share with the community.
Koby Wexler, a true Floridian, born & raised in Boca Raton has been passionate about cooking since he could see over the stock pot. Koby's parents, both chefs, owned a bakery during his formative years, paving the groundwork for him to pursue a career as a creative Chef in the hospitality industry.
Although Koby grew up immersed in a culinary world, he majored in cinema studies while attending the University of Central Florida. He always had a love for movies, and was extremely intrigued by the role of the director. While attending college & post graduation, he worked in various establishments in both front and back of house positions.
Fast forward to present day, Koby leads the savory side of his family's Delray Beach Concepts, Two Fat Cookies, Two Fat BrEGGfast & Death by Pizza.
Death By Pizza, developed during the global pandemic, is Koby's latest concept with co-creator & sister, Zoey Wexler. Death By Pizza originated as a Sunday Night Pop-Up concept, but will soon be opening it's Brick & Mortar location in Downtown Delray Beach. Koby & Zoey plan to partner in creating more culinary concepts for the Delray Beach community in the near future, hoping to make their mark on South Florida.
