Alex & Leah Sajovits / Licensed Real Estate Agents
Growing up in Georgetown, Brooklyn. Leah was always interested in
fashion. She would often sketch designs and dream of working in the
industry. After graduating high school, she attended Brooklyn and Queens
College to pursue her passion for fashion marketing. There, she honed her
skills and gained the knowledge she needed to succeed in the fashion
industry where she had her BA in fashion marketing. Leah worked her way
up the corporate ladder and achieved great success in the fashion industry.
On the other hand, Alex grew up in Mill Basin, Brooklyn. He attended
Kingsborough Community College and Parsons School of Design, where
he studied business and graphic design and he has an associates degree
in business and a certification in graphic design. With his creativity and
business acumen, he started his own screenprinting and embroidery
business in Astoria Queens, catering to clients like MLB and Rocawear.
It was in the 8th grade that Alex and Leah met through mutual friends. They
remained friends for a few years until their senior year of high school when
they started dating. Their relationship flourished, and soon they were
engaged and ready to start their lives together.
Alex and Leah got married in Brooklyn and moved to Manhattan. Leah
landed a job at Gucci, and later at Kenneth Cole, where she worked her
way up the corporate ladder. Meanwhile, Alex continued to run his
successful screen printing and embroidery business in Astoria Queens.
As their family grew, they moved to Forest Hills Queens and then
Hewlett Long Island. It was during this time that Leah decided to transition
from the fashion industry to real estate. She saw an opportunity to use her
skills and experience in sales to excel in a new industry. She worked for the
largest title companies and underwriters in New York City, closing title on
multi-million dollar real estate deals.
Meanwhile, Alex's business was thriving until 2010 when he was forced to
close it down. It was a challenging time for him, but he knew he had to
keep pushing forward. He joined forces with Leah to close title in
Manhattan, using his creativity and business skills to help their clients
achieve their real estate goals.
From 2011 to 2017, Leah and Alex achieved great success in closing
million-dollar deals for high-profile clients like Seth Meyer and Savannah
Guthrie. They worked tirelessly to provide exceptional service to their
clients and build their reputation in the industry.
In 2017, Leah recommended that they both get licensed to sell real
estate. They saw an opportunity to expand their knowledge and skills in the
industry and take their careers to the next level. They started at a boutique
firm in Hewlett called VIP Properties, where they gained valuable
experience and honed their skills in selling real estate.
In 2021, they made the decision to move to the national brand Douglas
Elliman. It was a big move for them, but they were confident that their skills
and experience would help them succeed in this new environment.
Throughout their journey, Alex and Leah have raised three children
together. Justin, the oldest, is 19 years old and attending FSU college. Ava
is 16, while Skylar is 10. They have always prioritized their family and have
worked hard to provide them with the best life possible.
Alex and Leah's story is an inspiration to many who are on a similar
journey. It serves as a testament to the power of hard work, determination,
and resilience. Despite facing obstacles and setbacks, they never gave up
on their dreams and continued to push forward. Their success in both their
careers and family life is a reflection of their unwavering commitment to
each other and their shared values.
