Keith Costello is the President and CEO of Locality Bank, a digital-first community bank headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The bank opened in January 2022 and was the first new bank to open in South Florida since 2009. Keith served as the President & CEO of First GREEN Bank, a community bank headquartered in Orlando, Florida, from 2016 until its successful sale to Seacoast Banking Corporation of Florida in 2018. At the time of the sale, the bank had $800 million in assets, six branches in Central Florida, and one in Fort Lauderdale. Before his role at First GREEN, he was President, CEO, and an organizing director of Broward Bank of Commerce, chartered in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in 2009. The bank was successfully sold in 2014 to Centennial Bank, where Keith served asDivision President for one year. He also held senior roles at Bank of Florida, City National Bank, and Nations Bank.Keith started his business career as a financial consultant at Merrill Lynch in 1987 after leaving active-duty military service in the U.S. Army, where he attained the rank of Captain. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Tampa and an MBA from the University of Miami. Keith has his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation and is a member of the CFA Institute.He has been involved in several local charities and organizations, serving on Fort Lauderdale's Economic Development Advisory Board, as a Commissioner on the City of Fort Lauderdale Housing Authority, as a member of The Broward County Continuum of Care Board for the Homeless, and as the chairman of the board of directors of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, he serves on the Board of Directors of the Broward Workshop, Career Source Broward, The Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance, and the executive committee of the board of directors of the Florida Bankers Association. Heis currently a member of Vistage and the Alexis de Tocqueville Society of the United Way.Keith lives in Cooper Citywith his wife, Denice, and they have seven children.
