Jessica Del Vecchio / Economic Development Manager at City of Boca Raton

In April 2015, Jessica Del Vecchio joined the City of Boca Raton as its first economic development manager and was tasked with leading the newly established Economic Development Division. Since its inception, the Office of Economic Development has successfully facilitated over a dozen corporate relocation and expansion projects; including one of the largest deals in Palm Beach County, which committed to creating 838 new jobs in Boca Raton.

Prior to accepting the role, Jess spent 15 years in the finance industry. Attaining FINRA Series 3, 7, 63, 65 and Florida’s Life, Health and Variable Annuity licenses, she spent 8 years at Smith Barney and 7 years at Haar Capital, both based in Boca Raton.

Del Vecchio has lived in Boca since 1991 and attended Lynn University. Graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and an MBA in Finance, Jessica proudly spoke at her graduation ceremony. Jessica sits on Lynn University’s College of Business Advisory Board.

Joey Brander / President of First Serve Partners

Beginning his career on television and the radio working internationally for Disney Channel and Radio Disney, in 2009, Joey Brander became the youngest person to co-host a CBS-affiliate television show in the United States. He followed that achievement by becoming the youngest to have their own weekly show on an ESPN Radio affiliate, hosting The Joey Brander Show from 2012-2014.

Brander, now 23, is the President/Managing Partner of First Serve Partners, a South Florida and New York based venture capital firm made up of business leaders, pop-culture influencers, and current/former professional athletes, including NBA legend Metta World Peace, NFL Hall of Famer Warren Moon, and Super Bowl Champion Roman Harper. The firm invests across sports, media, and entertainment and uses their unique perspective and experience in engaging emerging generations – millennials and Gen-Zers – to capitalize on what’s new and what’s next. Brander is among the youngest venture capitalists in the world.


Brander has been a co-host of The Sports Blender alongside FSP Senior Advisor David Meltzer, a board member of The International Jazz Hall of Fame, a member of the Investment Advisory Board for Ideaboost (the entertainment accelerator of the Canadian Film Centre), a host and commentator for the US Open, takes time to give back to the community through his foundation ‘The Joey Brander Foundation: Literacy Through Sports’ (501C3) and has spoken at universities and conferences around the world.



Lindsey Swing / Co-Founder of LLScene

Lindsey Swing and Lilly Robbins are two girls dedicated to fashion, beauty, and all things that make up a glamorous lifestyle. LLScene is a fashion and lifestyle blog with a lot of layers. Lindsey and Lilly are South Florida Influencers with expertise and a glamorous lifestyle, which provides a different take on lifestyle, fashion, and beauty brands.

In addition to their blog and social media following, LLScene provides PR and marketing services for businesses looking to enhance their on and offline presence. Lindsey has a passion for innovative fashion movements and Florida State football, and Lilly is a former Miami Dolphins cheerleader with a desire to further her philanthropic work and brand lifestyle and beauty concepts.

Until they’re fortunate enough to have children of their own, Lindsey and Lilly will continue to grow their business and take their “dog mom” roles to Bentley and Duke very seriously.



Sofia Castro / Founder of Ortsac Capital Group

Sofia Castro, driven, dynamic and fun-loving entrepreneur

Sofia started in real estate at the age of 24. Her and her husband began buying single family homes and flipped those until moving into condo conversions and multifamily properties.

In 1993, she and her husband opened a leasing brokerage firm.  The company transitioned to what is today BHG; where she remained until she exited to start Ortsac Capital Group, LLC in 2011. Today Ortsac Capital Group owns and about 2000+ doors between Florida and Tennessee and also have about 4000 doors in JV’s.

Sofia is passionate philanthropist, she heads up a charity for foster children in Haiti with Food for the Poor, also contributes to the Thembelihle School in Africa and Operation Smiles and Scentsability which works and supports adults with development disabilities.
