Alina Ritter / Business Performance Advisor at Insperity

I grew up in Kiev, Ukraine. My dad is a concert pianist dad and mom is a chemical engineer. With my dad’s music career, we lived around the world including Mongolia and Mozambique. I grew up studying and performing classical piano and I graduated from Kiev music school. Even though music was a big part of my life and I enjoyed performing, I decided it wasn’t for me and I wanted to study business in the US. So, when I was 17, I came to Wichita, KS by myself to go to school. At the time, I did not have real proficiency in English, but I was determined to learn and succeed in my studies. I worked extremely hard, and I graduated from Barton School of Business with 2 degrees in International Business and Pre Law. After graduating, I moved to Boston and worked in finance for several large Boston based companies, but realized after a couple years that I wanted some more human interaction and a position where my personality could make a difference. I then went to work for a medical software company, Meditech as a marketing consultant. I was calling on C-level executives in hospitals promoting EHR software in the Southeast territory traveling every other week to Alabama and Georgia and over the years I built many strong relationships with customers and prospects. After almost 15 years at Meditech though, I was ready for a change and a new challenge. I began researching companies that offered a product or service that I could truly get excited about and where I can put my skills and experience to the best use. At the same time, I was approached by a recruiter about the company called Insperity with a job as a Business Performance Advisor, and after learning all about the company and the position, I knew it was a great fit for me. Insperity customer satisfaction and retention rate is very high, and Insperity is consistently voted one of the best places to work for. As a Business Performance Advisor,  I work with small to mid-size businesses anywhere from 5 to 250 employees and help them in all aspects of human capital management. I educate executives about how Insperity helps attract and retain top talent, eliminate tedious HR tasks and stabilize the cost of health benefits.  It’s been very exciting for me to meet so many business owners and to learn about their businesses and their unique business ideas and I find my job to be very rewarding by helping so many businesses succeed.

I also recently joined Business Development Committee at MDG Boston- the non-profit group that connects medical technology professionals. Having background in medical software and medical technology, I really enjoy working with businesses in healthcare. In fact, Insperity has many customers in medical device, biotech and life science space in Boston area.
