DuVine’s luxury bike tours focus on exceptional food and wine experiences, thoughtfully designed itineraries, and top-quality gear and support. But the innate vision for every DuVine tour is to show travelers how much authentic character you can find if you know where to look.

  • Founder and CEO of DuVine- a company that offers luxury bike tours across countries all over the world, from Italy and France to Japan to Costa Rica- there is even one offered in Vermont if you don’t like to fly
  • Andy founded the company in 1996
  • Went to the University of Denver
  • The purpose of the tours is to really connect with a place- Andy thinks that simply traveling as a “tourist” does not give you an authentic experience of a new place- you have to become fully immersed in a new culture to truly understand and  enjoy it, and that is what these tours are attempting to accomplish
  • There is a heavy focus on food and wine during these tours, but the main goal is to connect with the people in a new culture
  • 2017 and 2018 Travel + Leisure World’s Best Award winner- in the running for 2019 as well
  • There are trips for all cycling skill levels, from novice all the way to hardcore cycling athlete- you also have the option to completely customize your tour, or to make your tour private (these will cost you more money)
  • The brilliant thing about this design, according to Andy, is that all the tour guides around the world are locals to the destination. Further, they often times have more than just local knowledge to offer, some own vineyards, farms, or are renowned chefs.
  • Andy also says no tour is exactly the same. While one tour could travel to the same destination as another, the two tours are far from identical.  There is always something or someone that distinguishes one tour from another.
  • Andy likes to keep the groups that go on these trips small. That way, individual focus can be placed on everybody, and nobody is forgotten or left out.  It simply adds for a more intimate experience with your group and with the destination you are traveling to.
