The U.S. Senate voted Tuesday to confirm Georgian Britt Grant to a seat on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit.

Both Georgia senators, Republicans Johnny Isakson and David Perdue, spoke in favor of Grant’s nomination by President Donald Trump during floor debate on Monday. Grant won confirmation by a narrow 52-46 margin largely along party lines.
