Bill to formally recognize UH medical school heads to governor’s desk

A bill recognizing the University of Houston College of Medicine passed both chambers of the Texas Legislature and is on its way to the governor’s desk.

Once signed, the medical school would be recorded in the state’s Education Code. The UH System could then approve curriculum and set up protocols, and it would make the school eligible for state funding.

Future office tower near River Oaks District inks growing real estate firm, Charles Schwab as tenants

Park Place Tower, which is under construction in between the River Oaks District and Highland Village, is now 21 percent leased.

Three tenants will occupy a total of 42,939 square feet in the 15-story, 210,000-square-foot tower at 4200 Westheimer Road, according to a press release. Brad Beasley and Connor Saxe of Colvill Office Properties handle office leasing at Park Place Tower. Bruce Wallace and Radkey Jolink of CBRE are handling leasing for the tower’s first-floor retail space.
