Starbucks opens its first standalone Princi bakery in Seattle’s Denny Triangle (Photos)

Starbucks has opened its first-ever standalone Princi bakery on Westlake Avenue just a block from Whole Foods Market in the heart of Amazon’s Seattle headquarters.

This makes Seattle the first city to have the full line-up of what Starbucks calls its Siren Retail premium experiences, including the Reserve Roastery, Reserve Store, Reserve coffee bar and now a standalone Princi bakery.

Mark Zuckerberg pledges $250,000 to fix California housing crisis Facebook helped create

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is donating $250,000 to a November ballot measure that would raise $4 billion in bonds to help solve California’s housing crisis.

Zuckerberg’s Palo Alto, California-based nonprofit, the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative, is giving the money to Affordable Housing Now, a political action committee formed by the Silicon Valley Leadership Group, Housing California, the California Housing Consortium and the State Building and Construction Trades Council of California.

Decisive Data hires Alissa Seiple as CEO to replace founder Luke Hartsock

Decisive Data has hired Alissa Seiple to replace Luke Hartsock as CEO.

Hartsock, who founded the Redmond-based data analytics and visualization company in 2008 and was a Puget Sound Business Journal 40 Under 40 honoree in 2013, will stay with Decisive Data as chairman of the board.

Seiple served on the company’s board of advisors last year and was previously principal of OneAccord Partners and and chief intelligence officer at cyberthreat intelligence firm Sovereign Intelligence.
