Ryan Glenn / Woodcraft of Harrisburg

Ryan Glenn serves as Director of Statewide Initiatives for the Ben Franklin Technology Partners.  In this role he coordinates all marketing, funding and outside partnerships that the four regionally-based Ben Franklin centers undertake as a network.  Mr. Glenn brings with him more than 16 years of professional experience in varying roles including business development, accounting, finance, and project management.  Mr. Glenn received his MBA with a concentration in finance from Penn State University.  In addition to his full-time role with Ben Franklin, Mr. Glenn also is a part owner of Woodcraft of Harrisburg, owns and manages a portfolio of single family investment properties and helps his wife grow her real estate practice, The Twila Glenn Group @ Joy Daniels Real Estate.

Prior to Ben Franklin, Mr. Glenn was the Venture Capital Advisor for the Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development (PA DCED) where he oversaw and managed the commonwealth’s risk capital programs including a venture capital portfolio in excess of $350 million.  Glenn also served as the Executive Director of the Pennsylvania Tobacco Settlement Investment Board which serves as the fiduciary oversight body for Pennsylvania’s distributions pursuant to the Tobacco Master Settlement Agreement.  In his capacities at PA DCED, Mr. Glenn also had primary responsibility for the design and implementation of Pennsylvania’s 2013 “Innovate in PA” legislation which will provide $100 million in tax credits to fund the continuum of capital formation activities in the state.

Mr. Glenn holds a CPA certificate in the State of Delaware.  He lives in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania with his wife of 16 years and their two young children.


Nathan Hoover / Woodcraft of Harrisburg

Born and raised in the Central Pennsylvania area, Nathan Hoover graduated from Northern High School and continued on to earn a Mechanical Engineering degree from York College. Mr. Hoover started two successful businesses after college, one in computer tech support and the other in software development. He and his business partner won the Murata Great Business Plan Competition, received funding from Ben Franklin Technology Partners, and were granted a patent on their technology. Temporarily taking a break from the business world, Mr. Hoover worked at a local Christmas tree farm for eleven years.

Always looking for a new adventure, in 2018 Mr. Hoover and two partners bought the Woodcraft store in Harrisburg, PA. He is responsible for day to day operations and managing the fifteen employees at the store. Woodcraft of Harrisburg serves hobbyist and professional customers alike with woodworking tools, equipment, supplies, and classes.

Mr. Hoover lives in Dillsburg, PA with his wife of fourteen years and their three young children.
