The founder behind a longtime, acclaimed South American restaurant group has departered from the company.

Michael and David Cordúa are no longer affiliated with Houston-based Cordúa Restaurants as of August, a spokesperson confirmed on behalf of the father-and-son duo. Michael Cordúa launched the company in 1988 with the first location of Churrascos. David Cordúa had been executive chef at the restaurant group.
