Cox Enterprises has added a new executive to its flight division.

The Atlanta-based company said Monday it picked John Hatfield to succeed Barry Campbell as vice president of aviation. Cox said in a news release that Campbell is retiring after an almost 30-year career with the company.

Hatfield’s responsibilities include managing and directing Cox’s flight operations department, such as oversight of government aviation regulations, policies and procedures, as well as training and safety programs.
