A number of energy companies with operations in the Houston area are preparing for Hurricane Harvey this weekend, and some have already shut operations in anticipation of the storm.

Anadarko Petroleum Corp. (NYSE: APC), Exxon Mobil Corp. (NYSE: XOM) and Royal Dutch Shell (NYSE: RDS.A) have all shut in and evacuated some of their offshore production platforms in the Gulf of Mexico, according to spokespeople or online statements for the companies.
