Nick McCormick is the Owner and Chief Popper at CaJa Popcorn, a “Foodpreneur”, perennial gourmand, and an advocate of the Good Food Movement. Nick is on a mission to engage and serve the culinary community, while fostering change and building a better food system for our future. Prior to becoming owner of Atlanta’s premier popcorn company, Nick has worked nearly two decades in some of the best kitchens in the country and was one of the chefs tapped to help collaborate and develop unique flavors for CaJa Popcorn.

Nick has a dynamic range of experience and cooked alongside Michelin star chefs, in AAA Four Diamond restaurants, launched sports service concession stands, operated specialty retail departments and developed menus for the world’s leading airline. In all of Nick’s endeavors, he has continued to deliver and develop superior products, while maintaining quality and flavors that delight a range of palates.

Nick received his formal training from the Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Arts program at The Cooking and Hospitality Institute of Chicago. In the spirit of continuing education and creating connections, Nick is always open to collaborating with other crusaders of good food ways.

When Nick is not popping, or in the kitchen he enjoys spending time with his wife Katie and two young daughters Cayla and Evelyn at their home in Smyrna, Georgia. There they enjoy sharing meals, and gardening in the summer. When Nick gets to sneak away he either has his head in a book or can be found on the mats training in Brazilian Jui Jitsu.
