Georgia’s Environmental Protection Division plans to fine a Columbus, Ga. battery maker $41,000.
The EPD has proposed the fine for Exide Technologies, which has a lead-acid battery plant in Columbus, the Columbus Ledger-Enquirer reports.
The fine is for violating federal emissions standards on lead in November and December 2016 and January 2017.
