Amy Denton is the middle of three daughters of retired public school educators from Highland, AR. She located to central Arkansas in 1992 to attend the University of Central Arkansas where she received both her BS in Health & Applied Sciences in 1996 and MS in Physical Therapy in 1998 from UCA.
Amy has had a lifelong passion for children with special needs and began her career as a staff physical therapist working in pediatrics. In 2002, she and her husband Todd bought Pediatrics Plus, a home health therapy business serving close to twenty clients, which they ran from their home office the first year before leasing 2800 square feet of space in Conway for their first outpatient clinic. Although Amy has served in almost every role in the company as it has grown, her primary role has been the Director/CEO.
Today, Pediatrics Plus is a leading provider of specialized pediatric healthcare services for children with special needs and diverse abilities in Central Arkansas. They have 4 locations: Conway, Little Rock, Sherwood, and Russellville; and are currently opening their first location outside of Arkansas in Frisco, Texas. Pediatrics Plus serves more than 3000 children and families annually in a variety of different services including: Speech, Occupational, and Physical Therapy; Developmental Preschool; Applied Behavioral Analysis for Children w/ Autism; Behavioral Health Services; Diagnostic Services; and coordinates and participates in research studies.
