It was hunger, literally, that got Robby Kukler interested in the restaurant industry.

“My mother cooked three meals a day, and when I was about 15 [years old] and wanted more food, she said, ‘If you want more food, you should figure out how to cook it yourself.’ And I did,” said Kukler, co-founder of Fifth Group Restaurants, “and I think that was really what took me to the next level of interest.”
