Georgia tax collections were up slightly last month compared with May of last year, Gov. Nathan Deal reported Wednesday.
Tax revenues for May totaled almost $1.76 billion, an increase of 1.8 percent over May 2017. For the first 11 months of the current fiscal year, net tax collections were up 4.8 percent at $20.73 billion.
Individual income taxes rose by 1.4 percent last month. Gross sales taxes increased by 7.2 percent, while net sales tax collections went up by 3.3 percent.
