Almost 90,000 people moved to the Atlanta area in 2017. They came from New York, Washington, D.C. , Chicago, Miami and other major metros, fueling the third-highest net population growth in the country that year, according to JLL research.
The number of corporate residents is on the rise, too. Norfolk Southern and Thyssenkrupp recently moved their headquarters here, and Anthem, Amazon and UPS are expanding their Atlanta footprints.
