At a press conference March 6, the Houston Independent School District Board of Education addressed what could be next for Houston’s schools after Superintendent Richard Carranza leaves to become the chancellor of New York City schools.
HISD Board President Rhonda Skillern-Jones said there are three options the district can take to find its next leader. The board plans to meet March 8 to discuss the options and will make a decision on what path to take.
