Miguel Lopez / Small Business Development Center at Lone Star College

Miguel serves as the Executive Director for the Lone Star College Small Business Development Center.  In this role he oversees a team of business advisers that work and assist small businesses start, grow and expand their businesses by providing; one-on-one, confidential, no cost business advising.

He is a proud veteran, having served in The United States Marine Corp as a machine gunner from 1986 – 1990. After being honorably discharged he began attending North Harris Community College, today known as Lone Star College. Eventually transferring to Sam Houston State University, graduating in 1995 with B.A. in Criminal Justice. Miguel credits his customer service etiquette and business acumen to his almost 17 years of banking. He has worked with hundreds of small businesses; pre-ventures, start-ups and existing businesses. He has been involved in and served in leadership roles with numerous non-profit organizations throughout his years in Montgomery County, where he has been a resident of the Woodlands for 25 years.
