Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner lifted the curfew remaining in a portion of the city on Sept. 15.
“I have ended the curfew for all areas of Houston,” Turner posted on Twitter. “Thank you all for your cooperation helping us keep the city safe.”
Turner first announced the citywide curfew on Aug. 29 to “stop any property crimes against evacuated homes in city limits,” he said a the time. A similar curfew was imposed after Hurricane Ike, he added.
