Facebook’s new nearly 1-million-square-foot data center in Georgia will be powered entirely by renewable energy.
Gov. Nathan Deal made official the news first reported by Atlanta Business Chronicle that the social networking behemoth picked metro Atlanta for its ninth U.S. data center — 12th overall. Deal said Facebook Inc. (Nasdaq: FB) picked Newton County for its renewable energy options.
