The Shrimp Tank team is humbled by their dream becoming a reality at the Mill Creek High School DECA Event last Thursday. After Christopher Hanks, the Founder and Executive Director of the Kennesaw State University Entrepreneurship Center, taught what “SUCCESS” looks like for an elevator pitch using song lyrics, the 100+ students were able to analyze pitches by three student entrepreneurs.

Some students were inspired by a marketing startup working with clients in Israel, Nourishing Business Solutions. An afro textured hair stylist building a nationwide online community, The Dorm Room Beautician, intrigued others. A number of students were swept into outer space by a business innovating telescope technology, Spacey.
After the three student entrepreneurs pitched, the DECA students cast their vote on @TheShrimpTank Instagram, which transformed into a space to discuss pitches and encourage the presenters.
The first Shrimp Tank was better than what the team had envisioned. It ignited a fire in the hearts of the student audience to believe in the possibility of a better tomorrow. Students realized they have the ability harness that mindset by actually going out and starting something. If the first Shrimp Tank event can accomplish that, The Shrimp Tank team is ready to activate this platform in order to transform the lives of students everywhere.
