Rough seas are delaying construction of the final section of the Valley Crossing Pipeline, a project to move natural gas from the Eagle Ford Shale to customers in Mexico.

Houston-based Valley Crossing Pipeline LLC reported in a recent filing with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission that “prolonged periods of unfavorable sea conditions” have hindered work on a 1,000-foot section of the pipeline that crosses the border several miles east of the mouth of the Rio Grande.
