Bob Mighell / CEO of Tilting Motor Works

A lifelong powersports enthusiast, Bob Mighell is the CEO of Tilting Motor Works; a business that grew from his invention of a two-wheeled tilting front end for motorcycles for which he has received three patents. Born from the need to reach higher speeds while maintaining better control during cornering and braking, his design took Bob to the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah where he set absolute land speed records in 2012 and 2013 for three-wheeled motorcycles.

At the age of 18, Bob rode his motorcycle from Seattle to New Hampshire to study mechanical engineering at Dartmouth College. Bob started his first business in the early 80’s building snowboards in the basement of his engineering school and testing them at the local ski areas. After graduating from Dartmouth, Bob went on to obtain his MBA at the University of Washington and to found World Medical Equipment, which he ran for 20 years before turning his attention to his need for speed.
