David Doxtater / Founder of The Workshop

David is a highly experienced event designer and producer creating hundreds of beloved public and private Northwest experiences. He is an expert in live experience design and production while serving businesses, higher education, major league sports, cultural institutions, civic institutions, tourism and cause-driven organizations.

David founded “The Workshop” in 1997 with a vision for inspiring people to connect with new ideas, celebrate achievement, and participate in making our world a better place. In the past 20 years, The Workshop has produced countless concerts, galas, festivals, city and community celebrations, and corporate events.

Prior to The Workshop, David began his career as a “One Reel Vaudeville Show” pioneer, building the Bumbershoot Arts Festival into a world-class multimillion dollar entertainment brand. As VP, he also led development of the iconic “Summer Nights at the Pier” concert series, and Seattle’s 4th of July Fireworks show on Lake Union.

David has also been Executive Director for the Tacoma Tall Ships Festival and Director of Events at the University of Washington.
