Major U.S. airlines have recently implemented policies requiring all passengers to wear face masks in an effort to stop the spread of the coronavirus.

But some carriers reportedly may not enforce the rule. Reuters reported earlier this week that while American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and United Airlines have instructed employees to deny boarding to anyone not wearing a mask at the gate, the three major carriers have also told flight crews not to force passengers to do so once on board.
