T-Mobile says it plans to hire 10,000 veterans and military spouses in the next five years, part of a military initiative that also includes spending more than $500 million this year to expand low-band spectrum to U.S. military bases.

The Bellevue-based carrier said it is laying the foundation to bring 5G service to the bases. And T-Mobile is also launching T-Mobile ONE Military – a discount plan for active-duty military, their families and their small businesses.
