Jim Karam / Founder & CEO of Reddington Partners

Jim Karam is an Entrepreneur, Founder, and Executive who has led, managed, and been a key contributor to the growth and successful exit of two organizations in the Technology and Restaurant industries.

He founded Syrus Restaurant Information Services, one of the leading Software as a Service (SaaS) providers of manager productivity tools and above-store reporting systems in the restaurant industry. Since its inception in 1996, Syrus grew to serve nearly 3,000 restaurants and supply chain providers in many national restaurant chains including Wendy’s, Popeyes, Sbarro, and Arby’s, as well as over a dozen regional chains in the Quick Service and Fast Casual Restaurant segments.

In August of 2015 Mr. Karam completed an all cash transaction in which 100% of the stock of Syrus was sold to private equity firm Marlin Equity Partners, and the business was merged with Vivonet, a Vancouver, British Columbia-based portfolio company of Marlin.

From 1990 until 2017, Mr. Karam was also an investor, franchise owner, and Board Member for Cedar Enterprises, a franchise organization for Wendy’s Old Fashioned Hamburgers. In his role with Cedar Enterprises, Mr. Karam has been a key strategic and operational contributor to the company’s growth from 18 restaurants to one of the largest privately owned restaurant organizations in the world with over 200 locations in 7 North American cities. In June, 2017, Mr. Karam and his partners completed the sale of Cedar Enterprises and its 225 restaurants to the brand’s franchisor, The Wendy’s Company.

Mr. Karam is currently the Founder and CEO of Reddington Partners, a multi-unit franchise owner of Sbarro Pizza with locations in Virginia and Washington DC. He also sits on several for-profit and non-profit Boards and is an active angel and venture fund investor.
