Allan Trimble was born and raised in Cleveland, Oklahoma. He credits his home town for instilling in him the tough lessons of patience, persistence and determination. Though his first love was baseball, Trimble grew into an excellent football player, and would eventually become the greatest large school, high school football coach in Oklahoma’s history. He started playing football in the seventh grade and grew into a starter for the high school team by his sophomore season. After high school, he attended Northeastern State University where he continued to play and study the game of football.

Allan Trimble became the Jenks Trojan’s head coach in 1996 Following assistant coaching stints at Owasso and Jenks. He coached Jenks to state titles his first six seasons on the job. The 1996-2001 Trojans outscored opponents by an average of 41-12 totaling 12 shutouts while scoring at least 50 points in 23 games. In 22 seasons, Trimble has a record of 242-41, with 13 state titles in 16 appearances. In that time, the Trojans lost at home only eight times. Trimble averaged 11.2 victories per season while sustaining Jenks as a nationally recognized football superpower. During Coach Trimble’s tenure at Jenks, 72 of his players were first-team All-State selections. Trimble was named the Tulsa World’s Oklahoma coach of the year in 1996, 1997, 2000, and 2012, and he was named the National high School Coaches Association football coach of the year in 2002. He was also named 6A-I coach of the year following the 2017 season and was inducted into the Oklahoma Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2016. His coaching tree is extensive with nearly 20 of his assistant coaches have gone onto become head coaches.

Allan Trimble was diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, (ALS) also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease in June 2016. He announced his retirement as Jenks head football coach in April 2018. Since his ALS diagnosis, Trimble helped create the Trimble Strong Foundation. “Trimble Strong foundation exists for the purpose of transforming people from their current position spiritually, emotionally, physically, professionally and financially. We simply was to bring faith, hope and love into the lives of all the people that we interact with.”
