Chicago-based United Airlines announced June 13 that it will give a $1 million grant to the Houston Food Bank.

The Houston grant is part of $8 million the airline is giving to its hub markets to “help address pressing issues identified by local leadership” in those cities.

The Food Bank grant will support the organization’s School Market program, which was specifically expanded to assist children attending Hurricane Harvey-affected schools, according to United’s press release. The grant…
