Jonathan Beskin / Founder of SinglesSwag

Jonathan Beskin is a dynamic business executive, entrepreneur and investor with more than 15 years of marketing, sales and leadership experience. Beskin founded SinglesSwag, a monthly subscription box for single women in May 2016 with less than 50 subscribers in the US and has grown the company to more than 180,000 subscribers (currently ships 45,000 boxes a month to more than 30 countries), over 1.2 million verified Instagram and Facebook followers and $32 million+ in revenue in less than four years ($15 million+ current annual revenue).

Never afraid to make a bold move, Michael dropped out of William & Mary after 2.5 years to become business partners in an online fitness business with NFL veteran Steve Weatherford before starting SwagUp, the API-first platform that helps growing companies easily create, automate, and distribute swag globally. In just 3 years, SwagUp has grown to over 1200 customers, 65 employees, and 8 figures in sales with zero venture funding.






Siri Terjesen / Associate Dean & Professor of Entrepreneurship at FAU

Dr. Siri Terjesen is Associate Dean, Research & External Relations and Dean’s Distinguished Professor of Entrepreneurship at Florida Atlantic University (FAU) in Boca Raton, Florida, and Professor .2 at the Norwegian School of Economics (Norges Handelshøyskole: NHH) in Bergen, Norway. She joined FAU in August 2019 from American University in Washington D.C. where she served as  Professor and Director of the American University Center for Innovation (AUCI) and was co-PI of the NSF I-Corps site grant to grow student entrepreneurs. Dr. Terjesen is also an affiliated researcher with Catalyst (New York), Indiana University’s Institute for Development Strategies, and the Ratio Institute (Stockholm), and serves on the board of Strata, a 501c3 attached to Utah State University.

Siri teaches undergraduate, graduate, and executive education courses at FAU. She has received numerous teaching awards, including FAU College of Business’s most outstanding teacher (2020) and American University’s Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life’s most outstanding faculty member (2017) and Kogod School of Business as “excellent” in teaching (highest recognition every year), and Indiana University’s Sauvain Undergraduate Professor of the Year and Alpha Kappa Psi’s student-selected favorite professor awards. She mentors fifteen students through the UNCF Koch Scholars program.

Siri’s research on entrepreneurship, corporate governance, and strategy has been published

in over 75 articles, 2 books, many white papers, and manuscripts (e.g., for Kauffman Foundation, World Bank, and U.S. Small Business Administration), and has received over 9,700 citations on Google Scholar. She publishes in leading journals such as Academy of Management Review, Journal of Management, Journal of Operations Management, Business Ethics Quarterly, Journal of Business Ethics, Leadership Quarterly, and Strategic Management Journal. Her research is featured in international media including Bloomberg, US News & World Report, the Times, and CNBC. Siri is a former Associate Editor of Academy of Management Learning & Education, and current editor of Small Business Economics, Industry & Innovation, and Magma, and a member of Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice and Corporate Governance: International Review. She has been PI or co-PI on $2.3m in research grants over her career.

Siri received her undergraduate education at the University of Richmond (1997), her Masters at NHH in Norway (2002) as a Fulbright Scholar, and PhD at Cranfield University in the UK (2006). She did her post-doc at Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia. Prior to academia, Dr. Terjesen was a management consultant with Accenture, on projects in the U.S. and Germany. Siri was also a competitive marathon and ultradistance runner, representing the United States, England, and Queensland in international competitions, including an individual bronze at the World 50K (2006), and winning over 40 marathons around the world.

She lives in Boca with her husband Per Amundson, a radiologist, and their children: Tor (9), Britt (8), and Finn (8), where they enjoy cycling, running, tennis, kayaking, and genealogy.
